Activities
My key roles and responsibilities at Chicoa Fish Farm as Hatchery Co-Manager includes:
- Manage the production of Nile tilapia fry in floating
hapas, from broodstock selection, spawning, egg incubation, to post-larvae
transfer into grow-out systems.
- Conduct daily measurements of critical water
parameters (temperature, dissolved oxygen, ammonia, pH), and implement timely
corrective actions to maintain optimal rearing conditions.
- Develop stage-specific feeding protocols, monitor feed
consumption, and calculate feed conversion ratio (FCR) based on bi-weekly
biometric assessments.
- Apply disease prevention protocols, supervise organ
sampling for diagnostics, and coordinate emergency responses to health-related
events in the hatchery.
- Lead the hatchery team, assign daily tasks, monitor
staff performance, and provide continuous technical training to ensure
standardization and efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records on hatchery performance
(hatching rate, survival rate, stocking density), and produce weekly and
monthly technical reports to support decision-making.
