The DBCP-41 session will focus on:
  • Enhancing data and metadata availability
  • Exploring new data sources

  • Strengthening engagement with the buoy data user community

 

Participation and Registration

DBCP membership is open to all WMO Members and UNESCO/IOC Member States. Interested organizations and programmes are also welcome. Please register by September 20, 2025, via the following link: DBCP-41 Register.
 
The session will be conducted each day from 13:00-15:30 UTC through Microsoft Teams, and a meeting link will be sent to registered participants in due course. Please be kindly aware that this link will be sent to the email(s) registered in your OceanExpert account. 
 

National Focal Points

We encourage you to review the list of national focal points on the OceanOPS website and follow up with the Secretariat for any changes.
 
National Reports
With reference to this tutorial, Members and Member States are invited to review the reports compiled by OceanOPS, based on submitted metadata and available data. National representatives (focal points) are then expected to:
  1. Inform Mia Khusnul Khotimah (MKhotimah@wmo.int) by 15 September 2025, of your intention to make a 5-minute national report presentation at the DBCP-41 session.
  2. Use a copy of this template for your presentation slides; it includes a section to report incoherencies in comparison to the OceanOPS report. Based on your feedback, OceanOPS will work with your designated point of contact to solve such issues. 
  3. The final draft of the presentation file should be ready and sent to Mia Khusnul Khotimah (MKhotimah@wmo.int) by 15 October 2025.
  4. Pre-record your national report presentation, ensuring it does not exceed 5 minutes. Please send your recorded presentation to Mia Khusnul Khotimah (MKhotimah@wmo.int) by 15 October 2025. Please keep in mind that live presence of presenters is still expected during the meeting for Q&A and engagement.
