We are pleased and excited to announce the upcoming Blue Schools Coordinators Training, which will now take place from April 1 to 3, 2025, in Colombia. This training is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen regional Ocean Literacy and foster a deeper understanding of the critical connections between education, sustainability, and ocean stewardship.
The program will bring together nationally nominated Coordinators, educators, and trainers to develop skills in the Blue Schools Protocol, build leadership skills in Ocean Literacy, and develop strategies to build a Blue Schools network in each country represented, and by extension, across the region. Participants will engage in interactive workshops, discussions, and collaborative sessions designed to empower them as leaders in their communities.
This event marks a significant step in UNESCO-IOC’s process towards the integration of ocean literacy into education systems and inspiring future generations to care for our oceans.
